Your planting success is important to us. To ensure prompt, reliable delivery of your order, Stark Bro's ships all of its products exclusively via UPS. When your order has shipped, you can expect your order within five to seven business days.
Nursery stock is shipped to arrive at the proper time for planting in your area. In general, we will begin shipping by hardiness zone as follows:

Many Stark fruit and nut trees, Stark Custom Graft® fruit trees and ornamental trees are now grown using the Stark® EZ Start® System. First developed to improve hard-to-transplant varieties, this award-winning system uses "bottomless" pots to naturally air prune the root system, creating a dense mass of roots, which will transplant and establish more quickly. This greatly accelerates growth rates and induces early flowers and fruits. And, unlike other fruit tree growers, Stark Bro's creates multiple variety trees in our state-of-the-art greenhouse facility, providing the optimum environment for bud take and growth. The dual benefits of the Stark® EZ Start® System and the climate controlled growing conditions produce the best quality tree your money can buy.
Bare-root trees and plants are shipped without soil and usually arrive without any apparent green growth. Sometimes our customers are surprised at the appearance of their bare-root trees, assuming they have arrived dead. Think of a bare-root plant much like a shrub or deciduous tree in winter - no leaves and no green growth showing. The plant is basically "at rest", reserving all of its energy for vigorous growth in spring.
There are many advantages to planting bare-root trees, shrubs and berries. In many instances they are easier to plant. They are not accustomed to potting soil as are potted plants, thus adjust to various soil conditions quickly. They are not spending energy supporting vigorous top grown and leaves before they get established in their new garden home. Although they show no signs of life, they will leap into growth soon after planting.
A Stark patented product since 1952! "Spurs" make bigger harvests! Starkspur® semi-dwarf trees are different from standard trees which bear fruit only on the outside limbs. The spur allows fruit to form on each limb and bear from the trunk out - doubling the amount of fruit.
Grow full-sized fruit on narrow columnar-shaped trees. Perfect for growing fruit on a balcony, patio, or sliver of ground - even if you live in an apartment or condo. They make a particularly impressive and product "living fence" when planted in a row - consider using them to disguise eyesores on your property and grow fruit at the same time!
Indicates tree or plant will pollinate itself and doesn't need another tree or plant near it in order to bear fruit. In many cases, you may still want to plant pollinating partners to increase the size of your crops, but with self-pollinating varieties doing so is optional. You'll get fruit with only one tree!
