Description

Attract friendly native mason bees. Mason bees, also called orchard bees, are native to North America and live in wooded areas and even around homes and other populated areas. Mason Bees are pollination helpers that will increase production in fruit trees and berry plants, each doing the job of about 100 honeybees. It is not in their nature to chase or sting unless aggressively provoked. After nesting, Mason Bees emerge from these tubes as the first blossoms appear in spring – first the males, followed by a greater number of females. Each female lays 6 to 7 eggs per 6-inch tube. Swap out used tubes with fresh replacement tubes, and increase your bee population by gradually adding more tubes. Bees not included.

  • Replacement Tubes measure approximately 6" long x 5/16" in diameter.
  • Kit measures approximately 6.25" long x 3.25" in diameter.
