Wine Grapes
Wine Grapes Buyer's Guide
The preferred grapes of traditional vintners! Wine grapes are smaller and softer than the crisp, firm table grapes you find in stores, and the vines develop uniquely shaped leaves and fruit clusters. While both wine grapes and table grapes are perfectly edible and flavorful when enjoyed fresh, wine grapes tend to have thicker skins, higher sugar content, more tannins, and more juice than their table grape counterparts — most of which are qualities ideal for winemaking. Nearly any grape or fruit can be made into wine, but if you’re going to make your own Muscat, fruity or spicy wines, these wine grape vines are a must-have in your backyard vineyard.
