Growing Columnar Apple Trees in a Container
Columnar apple trees, sometimes also referred to as urban fruit trees, spires, or colonnades, are fantastic fruit trees for small space growing!
Growing 2 - 4 foot wide, and 8-10 foot tall, these trees are wonderful additions to your landscape and can even be grown in large containers or pots.
It's important to note, that growing in containers may require a bit more watering and a watchful eye when extreme heat or cold are forecasted. Having these trees in pots also makes them more mobile! They are great for the patio grower, or for someone who is planning to move in the coming years.
Columnar apples also thrive when planted in the ground, and add a beautiful and unique look to your home landscape. They even make a great privacy screen!
