Easy-care, no pruning ever! Blue Diamond has sweet berries with a bit of tartness are crescent-shaped and pretty in salads, dried for trail mix or made into a uniquely delicious jam or jelly.
Honeyberries ontain very high levels of anthocyanins, which have documented anti-inflammatory benefits. As with all honeyberries, after 10 years of fruiting, cut back the central woody stems to about 1-1/2’ off the ground to rejuvenate the plant. Ripens mid-June to mid-July.
For this specimen to produce, it’ll need a different honeyberry plant that blooms around the same time to pollinate it.
