Orange Glow™ Sea Berry Plant
Description
Big baskets of healthy sea berries you can grow most anywhere! Also known as buckthorn. This tremendous new variety bears crops so heavy the whole plant turns orange. Large, tasty berries are super-rich in essentially fatty acids, vitamins, antioxidants and anthocyanins. Some claim it has medicinal and anti-aging qualities, but we like it for juicing, jam, baked into cookies and muffins. The foliage is silvery-green, a lovely landscape addition. Sea berries have the added benefit of fixing nitrogen in the soil, which keeps your garden growing. Cold-hardy and heat-tolerant; this plant is hard to kill. Ripens in September. Requires one Sea Berry Pollinator plant for each 8 Orange Glow™ Sea Berry plants.
