Description
The Dolgo Crabapple is a disease-resistant, long-time favorite!
Beautiful and bountiful, Dolgo is an ideal edible ornamental tree. This crabapples tree was imported from Russia in the late 19th century. A lovely landscape specimen in the spring, the Dolgo blooms large, fragrant white flowers. Small, crimson-colored crabapples ripen in late summer. These 1 ½ inch oval-shaped fruits make flavorful, bright-red jelly, perfect for canning and preserving.
The Dolgo Crabapple tree is vigorous with upright and open growth. It is known for bearing young and for being resistant to cedar apple rust, scab, rust, mildew, and fireblight. This fruit tree requires 500 chill hours.
