Johnny Appleseed Tree Tree
Description
John Chapman, the American folk hero also known as Johnny Appleseed, and Judge James Stark, founder of Stark Bro’s Nurseries in 1816, shared a common era and passion. Both loved planting apple orchards on the frontier. Stark’s legacy has been carried on by his descendents, but Chapman’s faded over time. The last surviving apple tree planted by Johnny Appleseed was traced to Nova, Ohio in 1994. Cuttings were taken from this tree and budded to preserve this piece of history. We are proud to observe the new millennium by offering you Johnny Appleseed’s own Rambo Apple trees, his favorite. This tart, green apple ripens in September and is great for baking, applesauce and fresh eating. Honor the most famous tree planter of the millennium and plant your own Johnny Appleseed tree!
