Harvester Peach Tree
Description
A reliable and highly productive peach tree for any growing space!
The Harvester peach tree is a popular choice for commercial growers and is now gaining popularity with gardeners and homesteaders alike. Beautiful deep pink flowers bloom in the spring, giving way to large, round, juicy freestone peaches. Harvester peaches ripen midseason, about 3 weeks prior to Elberta.
The fruit is a lovely yellow with blushing red over 50%-70% of the skin, and the flesh is yellow with a slight red near the pit. Harvester Peach Trees produce sweet, succulent peaches for many years and make a wonderful addition to your landscape. The fruit is very juicy and excellent for eating right off the tree. These peaches are great for preserving your harvest, whether canning or freezing.
This self-fruitful tree thrives in varying soil conditions and tolerates heat and humidity. This peach tree has shown moderate resistance to brown rot, and good resistance to bacterial spot, making the Harvester Peach tree an excellent choice for gardeners new to growing fruit trees.
This variety originated in 1973, from the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station as an excellent specimen for Northern Louisianna and areas with similar climates.Characteristics
