Description
Millennium Asparagus is a productive perennial garden plant that produces high-quality spears that are tender and delicious – your kids will be asking for more!
With excellent freezing quality, this versatile veggie can be used in salads, cooked, frozen, pickled, grilled, steamed, and added to stir fry. Asparagus is rich in vitamin B and C, calcium and iron.
Developed at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, this variety is cold-hardy and tolerant to harsh winters – but is also a top performer in hot harvesting seasons. You can be successful growing this vegetable in a wide range of soil types – even heavy clay. Millennium Asparagus is also rust-resistant, making it a low-maintenance plant to grow in the garden. This perennial can be enjoyed for 15-25 years with proper maintenance.
