About Little Lime® Hydrangea

Little Lime® Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata ‘Jane’) is a compact, hardy dwarf hydrangea that offers the same great flowers and coloration as its larger sibling, ‘Limelight’, but in a smaller size. This deciduous shrub reaches just 3-5 feet tall and wide, making it perfect for residential landscapes and container gardens. The large, conical flowers start green in summer and transition to pink and red as the season progresses, providing a long-lasting and visually striking display.

How to Grow Little Lime® Hydrangea

Little Lime® Hydrangea thrives in full sun to partial sun and is hardy in USDA Zones 3-8, tolerating temperatures as low as -40°F. It blooms on new wood, so pruning in late winter or early spring encourages fresh growth and abundant buds. This variety requires average to high watering and performs best in well-drained soil with a pH level of 5.6 – 6.2.

This hydrangea is low maintenance and easy to grow, making it an excellent choice for borders, foundations, and mass plantings. Its strong stems prevent drooping, and the bright bloom coloration makes it perfect for cut flower arrangements, both fresh and dried. Little Lime® Hydrangea is a reliable performer that provides continuous color from summer through fall.

With its small stature, this award-winning hydrangea fits easily into smaller landscapes, adding bold color and charm without taking up much space. Enjoy the vibrant green summer flowers that turn pink in fall, and enhance your garden with the beauty and versatility of Little Lime® Hydrangea.
