Holland Red Shallot Plant
Description
Attractive red skin and light pink flesh. Rich, mildly sweet flavor is reminiscent of onions and garlic. Great for fresh-eating in salads, adding to sautées, and roasting. Each bulb grows to yield 3 to 4 shallots. Plants are not prone to bolting, but any bolting plants can be removed and used as scallions. Harvest in summer after leaves wither. Stores well.
