Description
Large and sweet, and so good to eat!. Long, smooth, V-shaped carrots have a deep red-orange center that is so pretty when sliced. Plant as early as possible — this variety likes cool weather and thrives in it. Also does well in heavy soils. The fine-grained texture is great for juicing, fresh eating, soups, canning and long storage. Try roasting Chantenays, which caramelizes their natural sugars. Delicious!
