Description
Wonderful for indoor herb gardens. Compact Genovese-type is sweet and anise-y, without bitterness — even when cooked. Blousy leaves are wildly aromatic and have a finessed gourmet flavor. Use fresh (chopped or as a whole-leaf garnish), in pesto, or preserve in olive oil. Flavor combines beautifully with anything containing lemon, even desserts. Performs very well under grow lights or in a sunny window. Outdoors, it thrives in summer heat. Remove flower buds promptly to prolong your harvest. Annual.
