Description
Large, deep red heads have fine flavor and are very colorful, all the way to the core. A good keeper that stays crisp and sweet. Slugs and cabbage worms seem to be less attracted to red cabbage vs. green, but keep watch. The sugar content doubles after a frost, so be patient and wait for the right time to harvest. Heat- and cold-tolerant. Great raw, cooked or pickled. Photo courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed.
