Description
Nothing flavors a savory dish like rosemary. Used for centuries, both as a homeopathic medicine and as a culinary herb. According to legend, it was draped around the Greek goddess Aphrodite when she rose from the sea. Its piney, woodsy flavor is a splendid complement to roasted meats and poultry. Grows into a small evergreen shrub, covered with needle-like leaves, and tiny pink or blue flowers. Can even be pruned into topiary, if you like! Prefers to dry out between waterings. May be preserved by drying. Woody perennial, member of the mint family. Photo courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed.
