Description

Fast-growing, gorgeous and nutritious, too! Curled red-purple kale produces lots of delicious, frilly leaves that deepen in purple color as the temperature drops! Very cold-tolerant and fairly heat-tolerant. Best grown in frosts of spring or fall. Prefers rich soil and even moisture. Use fresh in salads, or sauté as you would spinach. Also excellent in soups or for juicing. Very high carotenoids, vitamins and minerals. Photo courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed.
