About Sonic Bloom® Pink Reblooming Weigela

Sonic Bloom® Pink Reblooming Weigela (Weigela florida ‘Bokrasopin’) is an exceptional deciduous shrub known for its prolific blooming and vibrant pink flowers. This remarkable plant produces an abundance of hot pink buds that open to rich pink flowers starting in May, followed by waves of blooms until the first frost. Unlike many other flowering shrubs, Sonic Bloom® Pink does not require deadheading to maintain its stunning display of color throughout the growing season. Its attractive green foliage provides a lush backdrop for the continuous bursts of pink.

How to Grow Sonic Bloom® Pink Reblooming Weigela

Sonic Bloom® Pink Weigela thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it a versatile addition to various garden settings. Hardy in USDA Zones 4-8, this fast-growing shrub reaches a height and width of 4-5 feet. Plant it in a location that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for the best flowering results.

This weigela blooms on both old and new wood, ensuring a continuous display of flowers from spring through fall. It is adaptable to different soil types, including alkaline and clay soils, and requires regular watering. If pruning is necessary, do so immediately after the spring bloom to encourage further flowering.

Sonic Bloom® Pink Weigela is not only beautiful but also attracts hummingbirds and resists deer, making it a hardy and reliable choice for any garden. Its trouble-free nature and ability to rebloom without deadheading make it a favorite for long-lasting color with minimal maintenance.
