Cherokee™ Sweet Gum Tree
Description
A Sweet Gum without “Gumballs”! Ward cv. One of the prettiest native American shade trees is the sweet gum, but unfortunately they usually bear large crops of annoying spiny “gumballs” to clean up each fall. Cherokee™ is a breakthrough variety in that it is nearly “gumball-free”! A narrow tree when young, Cherokee™ grows to a lovely rounded mature tree. Dark green summer foliage gives way to brilliant fall colors of red and burgundy.
