Description
The top short-season watermelon. Deep scarlet-flesh is candy sweet, with a striking black/green rind. Volleyball-sized fruit stores up to 2 months at 40º. Disease-resistant. Performs well in both cool Northern gardens and in the heat of the South. Needs rich soil (amend with compost) and plenty of moisture.
