Description
The most popular heirloom. Potato-leaf variety. Large fruit has incomparable, slightly tangy taste and absolutely beautiful color. Lots of pretty pink-red beefsteak tomatoes weigh up to 1½ lbs. each! Fruit sets in clusters of 1 or 2, and ripens late in the tomato season. Adding composted manure to the planting hole improves the already-splendid flavor. Named after Brandywine Creek in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Indeterminate. Photo courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed.
