Description
Mild onion-y herb for a go-to flavor kick. Chives complement any savory dish; they add a bright finish, either raw or cooked. Chives are a bit more elegant than chopped scallion tops for garnishes and have a more refined flavor. Lavender pom-pom flowers are beautiful in the garden ,and are also highly edible. Keep seeds consistently moist until germination and harvest young to avoid woodiness. Frost-hardy. Perennial. Photo courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed.
