Description
Still so popular, even after 80 years! Burpless slicing type tolerates cool soil, excessive moisture, downy mildew and mosaic virus. Plump, straight, 7-12” fruit is excellent eaten fresh, pickled or in a chilled summer soup. Plant in compost-amended soil. Mulch and keep well watered. Trellis the vines for good air circulation, which can double as light shade for heat-sensitive crops like lettuce. Pick daily to keep new blooms/cukes forming.
