Shenandoah™ Pawpaw Tree
Description
Flavor, flavor and more flavor. Fruit weighs up to one pound each! Another outstanding Peterson variety that’s become a farm-market hit. Firm-textured, banana-colored flesh is fruity, sweet and oh-so-custardy, with a wonderful aroma and pleasant finish. Very few seeds. Tree is a good yielder. Takes well to proper pruning and well-drained, deeply dug, slightly acid soil. During its first few years shield it from afternoon sun, then give it full exposure for the largest crops. Ripens in September. Grafted. For proper pollination, plant another grafted variety nearby.
