This fruitful tree grows large peaches with bright red skin over a yellow-orange background. These freestone peaches are firm with bright, yellow flesh.

With a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, many claim Monroe produces fruit with the best flavor of all peaches. Enjoy fresh, homegrown peaches ideal for baking, canning, freezing, making jellies and jam – and of course for fresh eating.

This tree has ornamental qualities with lovely pink blossoms in the spring and fruit that ripens later in the season. It is a self-pollinating fruit tree and a reliable producer. The Monroe Peach Tree has shown above-average tolerance to frost and is considered cold-hardy.

Plant peach trees in full sun, in well-drained soil. Monroe requires approximately 750 chill hours to successfully set fruit the following season.
